Researcher

IDr. J. Isabel Di Cosimo graduated as a Chemical Engineer from the School of Chemical Engineering (FIQ) of the National University of Litoral (UNL) in 1982 and as a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the same University in 1989. She joined GICIC in 1985 as a CONICET Fellow at the Catalysis and Petrochemical Research Institute (INCAPE). In 1989-1992, she was a Visiting Researcher at the Department of Chemistry and at the Zettlemoyer Center for Surface Studies of Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, USA. She was also a Visiting Professor at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering of Tulane University, New Orleans, LA, USA in 1995 and 1998 and at the Dept. of Chemical Engineering of the University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, in 1997 and 1998. Her current research topics include applications of solid acid, base and redox catalysts for the production of fine chemicals and the valorization biomass-derived resources. Isabel served as UNL Associate Professor at FIQ until 2020 and she is currently CONICET Principal Investigator at INCAPE.
